We are working on the cover for FEARLESS BEAUTY -a spiritual path to the true you – by author Kenetia Paige. Having narrowed down to 4 covers, now is time to decide.
Which one would you choose?
& here my fave, wich is out of the race…

> so, what’s next? after choosing a mock-up, we will keep working on it to get to the final cover.
That is, to produce some variations on the same cover until all the elements work -usually some title variants, colors, positioning, even the image may change, we may add or take some element.
And then, the details -image retouch, transparencies, shadows, borders, etc.-
Spine & back are always in mind, but graphically may step in at different times during the process, sometimes earlier, sometimes later.

I’m not crazy about any of them, but if forced to choose I might take no. 1 (left to right, top to bottom). No. 2 is also possible but the hair design doesn’t really seem especially beautiful. No 3 is possible as a concept but in execution sees forced. No. 4 hardly seems fearless, and having all the elements centered makes it seem very static. I would send these back to the design group for more work.
thanx xensen, these are still mock-ups. I better add it to the post to clarify :)
I love the top two!! Especially the one with the hair! I, for one, think that it does look especially beautiful. The covers are all very feminine, but I assume – based on the title – that this is a book for women. I would have a hard time choosing between the top two. Great work!
Hi Jennifer, thanks for your nice comment! & yes, the book’s audience is women.
I’d say no. 2.
